Ukraine approved a cooperation agreement with the WHO for 2024-2025

The Ukrainian government has approved a draft cooperation agreement with the WHO Regional Office for Europe for 2024-2025 aimed at improving health services and emergency preparedness.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a draft agreement on cooperation between the government of Ukraine and the World Health Organization's Regional Office for Europe for 2024-2025. This was announced by the government's representative in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk, on Telegram, UNN reports.
"A draft two-year cooperation agreement between the government of Ukraine and the World Health Organization Regional Office for Europe for 2024-2025 has been approved," Melnychuk wrote.
According to him, the signing of the agreement will expand the population's access to quality health care services, develop and implement strategies for reforming health care financing to achieve progress towards universal health coverage, improve access to essential medicines, vaccines, diagnostics and equipment, and strengthen the state's emergency preparedness capacity.
To recap, the Ministry of Health is creating a single regulatory body to integrate EU standards and approaches to the maximum extent possible.
