Ukraine is consistently adapting its agricultural sector for integration into the Common Agricultural Policy of the European Union by introducing the necessary tools and mechanisms for its practical implementation. This was discussed during the panel "Agriculture of Ukraine in the Transition Period" at URC 2026 in Gdansk, reports UNN citing the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.

Details

Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine Denys Bashlyk stated that the state's task is to transition  from harmonizing legislation to practical tools that will work in the real sector.

An agricultural producer must receive clear access to support, the state - quality data for decisions, and the system - transparent control and trust

- he said.

In addition, the European integration of the agricultural sector is also linked to a change in Ukraine's role in international agricultural markets.

Despite the war, Ukrainian agriculture remains an important factor in food security. The next stage is deeper processing, value-added products, technological solutions, and sustainable partnerships with international business

 - the ministry's statement reads.

Recall

Earlier, UNN reported that Ukraine has begun the practical stage of preparation for EU accession. For the agricultural block, it is necessary to prepare the sector to operate under the rules of the single European market and fulfill 16 indicators.
