U.S. President Donald Trump is raising tariffs on cars from the European Union to 25%. He announced this on the social network Truth Social, UNN reports.

According to him, the tariffs will take effect next week.
"I am pleased to announce that, given that the European Union is not honoring our trade agreement, which we fully negotiated, next week I will be raising the tariffs charged to the European Union on cars and trucks imported into the United States. The tariff will be increased to 25%,"
At the same time, he assured that "if they build the cars and trucks in U.S. plants, there will be no tariff."
It should be added that the previous tariff rate agreed upon by Brussels and Washington in the trade deal was 15%.
