In Ivano-Frankivsk, three children aged 4, 12, and 13 were poisoned by carbon monoxide due to a malfunctioning stove. All of the victims were hospitalized, and rescuers are reminding them of the rules for safe use of stoves.
Three children were poisoned by carbon monoxide and hospitalized in Ivano-Frankivsk, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported on Thursday, UNN reports.

"Three children were poisoned by carbon monoxide in Ivano-Frankivsk. The victims are children aged 4, 12 and 13. All of them were hospitalized. The probable cause of the poisoning is a malfunction of the stove heating," the State Emergency Service said on social media.
The SES reminded the rules for the safe use of stoves:
- Make sure that there are no cracks in the walls of the stoves and chimneys.
- Do not light the stove if the chimney is not clean.
- Avoid overheating.
- Nail a 50x70 cm metal sheet on the floor in front of the firebox door.
- Never leave a melted stove unattended.
"And the most important thing is to install a carbon monoxide detector at home, which will alert you to the danger if necessary!" the SES said.
