According to estimates by Spain's Ministry of the Interior, the number of migrants who voluntarily returned to Morocco has risen to 37,000, reports UNN citing Sky News.

Earlier today, Spain's Ministry of the Interior reported that 25,000 migrants who crossed the border with Ceuta have returned to Morocco.

The publication notes -  if the data is accurate, then out of 60,000 people who entered the enclave, about 23,000 remain.

Moroccans who crossed the border with Ceuta told the Associated Press news agency that they had hoped to find better job opportunities in Spain, but are returning due to the chaos in Ceuta.

About 60,000 migrants crossed the border from Morocco and reached Spain's North African territory of Ceuta since yesterday, with the death toll reaching 34.
