As the publication notes, after the destruction of three Orion UAVs by the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at an airfield in occupied Kerch on the night of June 23, Russia lost another such aircraft.
The basis for this conclusion was a video showing a burning drone in a field. A witness in the recording claims it was shot down. According to Defense Express, the drone was identified as an Orion by its characteristic V-shaped tail, engine nacelle shape, and propeller spinner.
The crash site was geolocated near the village of Ivanivka in temporarily occupied Crimea — approximately 13 km from Kerch and 11 km from the base airfield of these drones.
According to Defense Express estimates, over the past week, Russian forces have lost four Orion UAVs. The publication notes that currently these drones are the only known carriers of Banderol cruise missiles with a claimed flight range of up to 500 km.
