The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine has provided five key rules for the safe installation and operation of a Christmas tree at home. The recommendations relate to structural stability, electrical safety and the proper use of decorations.

The Christmas tree is an integral symbol of the festive mood. However, to prevent the joy of setting it up from turning into a problem, you should follow a few simple but important safety rules. This is reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, UNN reports.

Details

- Stability first: place the tree on a stable base to avoid falling over.

- Check the lights: only use certified electric lights, make sure they are in good working order beforehand.

- Do not overload the network: turn off the lights at night and before leaving the house to avoid the risk of a short circuit.

- Choose safe jewelry: jewelry made of non-combustible materials will reduce the risk of fire.

- Children under supervision: ensure that adults are present near the tree if it is decorated with garlands.

Following these rules will help create a cozy and safe atmosphere in your home. May the holiday mood be bright and your families be safe!
