The Cabinet of Ministers appointed independent members of the supervisory boards of NNEGC Energoatom and the Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine. The goal is to ensure professional oversight in accordance with OECD standards.

The Cabinet of Ministers has completed the formation of the supervisory boards of NNEGC "Energoatom" and LLC "GTS Operator of Ukraine". This was reported by the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture, writes UNN.

Details

The following were appointed as independent members of the supervisory board of NNEGC "Energoatom":

Dominique Minière – a citizen of France and Canada, a leader in the nuclear energy sector with over 35 years of experience.

Matthew Murray – a US citizen, a specialist in governance, anti-corruption policy and compliance with over 30 years of experience, who has also worked in Ukraine.

The state representative on the supervisory board of JSC "GTS Operator of Ukraine" became Yuriy Butsa – a citizen of Ukraine, an expert in public finance, public debt management and corporate governance. Thus, the full composition of the supervisory boards of both companies has now been formed.

It is noted that these appointments and approvals of candidates took place within the framework of the government's policy on reforming corporate governance at state-owned enterprises in the fuel and energy complex.

The goal of this process is to ensure sustainable, professional and independent oversight for state-owned companies, which meets OECD standards for state-owned enterprises, increases the trust of international partners and investors, and strengthens the companies' ability to make strategic decisions in wartime conditions
