"Energoatom" nears the midpoint of its repair campaign ahead of the heating season

Repairs at Ukrainian NPPs are four days ahead of schedule. In June, the campaign will reach its equator in preparation for the autumn-winter period.

"Energoatom" continues its planned maintenance campaign at nuclear power plants as part of preparations for the upcoming autumn-winter period. The company reported that the 2026 maintenance campaign will reach its midpoint as early as June. This was reported by JSC NNEGC "Energoatom", according to UNN.

According to the head of "Energoatom" Pavlo Kovtonyuk, scheduled preventive and medium maintenance is currently underway at Ukrainian nuclear power plants.
"We have approached the midpoint of the scheduled preventive and medium maintenance. Some power units at the Khmelnytskyi and Rivne NPPs have been returned to operation after repairs, while at others, work is ongoing or will begin according to schedule. An active maintenance campaign is also being conducted at the South Ukraine NPP. Importantly, all work is being performed ahead of schedule: currently, scheduled preventive maintenance is being completed on average four days faster than planned,"
Furthermore, according to the official, the maintenance campaign will reach its midpoint as early as June 2026.
