The Ukrainian government has transformed Energoatom into a state-owned joint-stock company to improve governance and transparency.
The government continues the corporatization reform at Energoatom. Today, the Energoatom joint-stock company, which is 100% owned by the state, was established, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said, UNN reports.

The Prime Minister pointed out that corporatization in accordance with the best international standards will strengthen the quality of management, transparency and accountability of the company. "It also opens up new opportunities for the development of our nuclear power industry and partnerships with global companies," he said.
In particular, the government approved a new charter, regulations on the supervisory board and regulations on the principles of its formation.
