The Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv has chosen a preventive measure for Pavlo Pleshivtsev, who drove into an underground passage on June 5, killing four people. His detention has been extended until September 5 of this year, reports UNN.

The suspect will remain in custody without the right to bail until September 5, 2026. He and his lawyer participated in the hearing via video link.

The suspect's defense filed a motion to hold the hearing in closed session and also insisted on releasing the defendant on bail. The court rejected both motions.

The family of the deceased 12-year-old Hryhorii Hlushych expressed their satisfaction that the defendant will remain in custody.
