"I unexpectedly found out that Ukrainian artist Yevhenia Hapchynska, whose work I have long admired, painted pictures of my frog. In fact, Peter is no longer a frog, but a real long-liver - he is 17 years old," Budanov wrote.

He thanked Yevheniia and her children, who inspire the artist to create her magical and beautiful world of paintings. "May Ukrainian painting flourish and develop! We continue to fight for our art and culture!" Budanov emphasized.

Ukrainian artist Yevheniia Hapchynska, in turn, told a Ukrainian TV channel why she decided to paint a frog with Budanov.

"People often watch interviews and look only at the main character. Perhaps I have some special vision, I always look at what is outside the hero, or near... What's around you says a lot about a person, there are officials who are like bricks, oak, uninteresting. I wanted to paint them together, because this frog says a lot about a person, about his humanity, his childishness in his soul. Of course, this is a painting about Budanov, but these small, funny details say a lot about humanity," said Gapchynska.

She also noted that both paintings were sold with Budanov and added that she would no longer paint with him.

The artist also said that she had been working with a psychologist for a long time, because her house was occupied, her husband went to the front and was seriously wounded.

"I also had to psychologically gather myself to work, but when I started, I really felt the need for it," the artist said.
