The activity of enemy DRGs continues in the direction of Sumy region. However, now the Russians are choosing more southern parts of the region, closer to Kharkiv region. This was announced on the telethon by the spokesman of the State Border Guard Service Andriy Demchenko, writes UNN.

If earlier we recorded more attempts by enemy reconnaissance and sabotage groups to enter the north of Sumy region, closer to Chernihiv region, then in the last few weeks attempts by sabotage groups to enter the south, closer to Kharkiv region, have been exposed

- Demchenko noted.

The spokesman of the SBGS also stressed that the military understands the threat from the Russian DRGs in these areas and are working together to detect and defeat them in a timely manner. Regarding the size of the Russian sabotage groups, he noted that they can be both large and less numerous.

"One of the extreme groups that was exposed within the Sumy region reached about 15 saboteurs, who also had the task of attacking the positions of Ukrainian soldiers on their own," he said.

Also, in this part of the border with Russia, the enemy continues to shell settlements and continues to terrorize the civilian population of Ukraine and uses aviation.
