According to ISW analysts, the Kremlin understands that the Trump administration is determined to take decisive action. That is why Russian officials have synchronously begun promoting the narrative of "readiness for dialogue" and ending the war with Ukraine.
Thus, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov stated that contacts with the United States on a peaceful settlement will continue, even if Washington radically changes its position on the Russian-Ukrainian war.
At the same time, Moscow does not hide that it is trying to drive a wedge between the United States and European countries that are allies of Ukraine. Russian State Duma deputy Leonid Slutsky called the recent conversation between Putin and Trump "a blow to European leaders."
