The Ukrainian delegation met with U.S. Secretary of State Blinken to discuss reforms in the procurement system of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, emphasizing transparency, and was thanked for the continued support of the United States.
Progress in reforming the procurement and contracting system in the Defense Ministry was discussed - the Ukrainian defense ministry reported details of the meeting of US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken with the Ukrainian delegation, UNN reports.

Defense Minister of Ukraine Rustem Umerov, together with the Head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak and the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk, met with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
According to the ministry, Rustem Umerov expressed gratitude to Anthony Blinken for the unwavering political, economic and military support from the United States.
"The parties discussed progress in reforming the procurement and contracting system in the Defense Ministry. The Ministry's team is working to ensure that the entire procurement system operates in an open and transparent manner.
Separately, the delegations discussed the issue of recruitment," the statement said.

During their visit to the United States, the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, and Defense Minister Rustem Umerov met with U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and Pentagon Chief Lloyd Austin.
