The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland commented on the fact that President Nawrocki decided to deprive Zelenskyy of the order. This decision, according to Sikorski, benefits only Moscow.
Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski stated that the situation with Polish President Karol Nawrocki's decision to strip Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky of the Order of the White Eagle only plays into Moscow's hands. Sikorski wrote about this on X, reports UNN.

"The winner of the war of history and orders can only be Moscow," Sikorski wrote.
The head of the Polish MFA wrote this in response to a commentary published in Onet, which states that Karol Nawrocki, by deciding to strip the President of Ukraine of the Order of the White Eagle, supposedly has "moral right." "However, he has just done what eliminates any chance that Zelensky will abandon his, objectively outrageous, decision to award one of the units of the Ukrainian army the name 'Heroes of the UPA.' By reducing these chances to zero, President Nawrocki, instead of engaging in diplomacy, is engaging in anti-diplomacy," the commentary says.
The commentary adds that Nawrocki's decision is liked not only by Alexander Lukashenko, but also by Vladimir Putin.
Before this, Sikorski drew the attention of the Polish president to how Russia reacted to his decision to revoke the award.
"There is support, President Nawrocki," Sikorski wrote, attaching a statement by Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev.

The Order of the White Eagle was awarded to Volodymyr Zelensky in 2023 by then-Polish President Andrzej Duda.
