Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina was defeated at the 1/8 finals of the 2024 Olympics. The former world number one lost in three sets to Czech Barbora Krejcikova.
At the start of the Olympics, Svitolina defeated Japanese player Uchijima, and then defeated world number six Jessica Pegula. And the very next day, she was to play a match in the 1/8 finals.
