Trump's attacker had no mental health problems or ties to terrorist groups, acted alone, and had not received any prior threats.
US law enforcement officials have not found any links between the suspect in the shooting at the rally of former President Donald Trump and terrorist organizations or foreign states, and they have not found signs of any mental illness. This was reported by The New York Times, according to UNN.

"The FBI officer in Pittsburgh leading the investigation said that [suspect Thomas Matthew] Crooks, who was killed by counter snipers, likely acted alone and there are no additional threats to public safety," the article says.
According to the newspaper, so far the FBI has found no evidence of mental illness or threatening behavior on the Internet. Investigators also found no indication that Crooks had any problems with law enforcement before the incident.
Separately, Royek said that Thomas Crooks was not affiliated with any particular ideology, but the FBI is still combing through his social media and other property for evidence.
