Leontiy Sandulyak, a prominent Ukrainian public figure, diplomat, co-author of the Act of Declaration of Independence of Ukraine, has passed away on December 3. Farewell to him will take place on December 4 in Velyka Starytsia, Kyiv region.

What is known about Leontiy Sandulyak
Leonid Sandulyak was born on March 8, 1937 in the village of Kozyryany (now Kelmenetsky district, Chernivtsi region). He was a scientist in the field of histology, endocrinology, ecology and valeology, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor.
In addition, he is also the author of 150 scientific papers, including five monographs and a textbook on human ecology. He worked at the Institute of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education of Chernivtsi region.
At the same time, Sandulyak also distinguished himself in active social, political and diplomatic activities. He, along with Levko Lukyanenko, was the co-author of the "Act of Declaration of Independence of Ukraine." He was also the first Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Romania.
