Lavrov cynically claimed Russia's alleged "cautious actions" and "unwillingness to harm" Ukraine – CCD explained the essence
Kyiv • UNN
Lavrov claimed limited use of weapons and an unwillingness to harm Ukraine. The CCD called this a lie against the backdrop of the total destruction of several cities by the Russians.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that Russia allegedly "does not use all available means" and "does not seek to cause excessive damage" to Ukraine, despite the numerous destructions of Ukrainian cities as a result of Russian aggression. This was reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (CCD), according to UNN.
Lavrov made another cynical statement. He assured foreign journalists that Russia allegedly "does not want to cause excessive damage" to the territory of Ukraine and "is not using all available means,"
It is noted that such statements are aimed exclusively at misinforming foreign audiences and creating a fake image of a "merciful" Russia.
In reality, Lavrov's words are a blatant lie that is striking in its cynicism. Ukrainian cities such as Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Pokrovsk, Vuhledar, Toretsk, Vovchansk, and dozens of others have been effectively wiped off the face of the earth by the Russians, turned into complete ruins.
The CCD emphasizes that the few residents who still remain in the destroyed settlements have seen the "humanity" of the occupiers with their own eyes and know exactly what the "Russian world" actually brings with it.
Lavrov's statements fit into the aggressor's traditional propaganda strategy. By trying to pass off a war of aggression and the destruction of civilian infrastructure as "measured actions," the Kremlin seeks to absolve itself of responsibility for war crimes against Ukraine,
