Large-scale forest fire continues in Zakarpattia, firefighters from other regions deployed

In the Verkhno-Volovetske forestry, the fire has engulfed 75 hectares of territory. Aviation and over 240 rescuers from three regions have been involved in the containment efforts.

A large-scale forest fire is ongoing in the Zakarpattia region, covering 75 hectares of woodland; firefighters from other regions have been deployed for its containment, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported on Wednesday, UNN writes.
The containment of a large-scale fire continues in Zakarpattia on the territory of the Verkhnovolovetske forestry. Currently, the fire has spread across approximately 75 hectares,
As indicated, a fire containment headquarters has been deployed at the scene. In total, 243 personnel and 46 units of equipment are involved in the firefighting efforts, including 138 firefighters and 36 units of equipment from the State Emergency Service, specifically including SES aviation.
"Colleagues from the Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk regions have arrived to assist the Zakarpattia rescuers," the State Emergency Service noted.
