According to fire chiefs, more than 100 firefighters and 15 pieces of fire equipment were sent to Sandbank Road in Hilltown on Saturday to extinguish the fire, which is believed to have been caused deliberately.
The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) reported that the fire front was about two miles (3.22 km) long.
It is assumed that the cause of this fire was a deliberate act
The Police Service of Northern Ireland said on Sunday that a 25-year-old man had been arrested "on suspicion of arson, recklessness as to whether life was endangered, and unrelated driving offences".
He remains in custody while investigations into the circumstances of the fire continue
