With the support of public prosecution by prosecutors of the Darnytsia District Prosecutor's Office of Kyiv, a 45-year-old resident of the capital was sentenced by the court for knowingly false reporting of the preparation for blowing up the Southern Bridge (Part 2 of Article 259 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)

According to the information, in January 2025, the defendant called the police and reported that he was going to blow up the Southern Bridge.

At the same time, he was aware that this information was false, and his actions led to the destabilization of the situation in the capital.

The man could not provide logical explanations for his actions.

The Darnytsia District Court of Kyiv sentenced him to 4 years of imprisonment. Before the verdict comes into force, the accused will be in custody
