The presidential candidate “unexpectedly” appeared on the stage, causing a real storm of applause and cheers from the delegates present. However, after that, Harris did something that was not expected of her - she began to address the crowd.
Usually, the person whose name appears on the ballot in the fall does not give a speech until the last moment of the event, but the vice president broke this tradition.
Harris said she “sees people in the room from all over the country who are united by our common vision” and called for “saying together as one that we will go forward because when we fight, we win.” The crowd eagerly picked up the last phrase and chanted it for a long time.
