In Ukraine 229 natural fires occurred in 24 hours

There were 229 fires on an area of 170 hectares in different regions of Ukraine the previous day. The State Emergency Service (DSNS) calls on people to follow fire safety rules, as even a small fire can lead to a large-scale fire.
229 wildfires in open areas covering 170 hectares occurred in different regions of Ukraine yesterday, the State Emergency Service reported, calling for compliance with fire safety rules, writes UNN.

"Yesterday, fires in open areas were recorded in almost every region of Ukraine. Firefighters extinguished 229 fires covering an area of almost 170 hectares," the State Emergency Service reported on social media.
More than 1,100 rescuers worked at the sites. Almost 260 units of equipment were involved.
"The main cause of the fires is often the human factor. Let's take care of our own! Comply with fire safety rules! Because even a small fire can grow into a large-scale fire and destroy hectares of Ukrainian forests and crops," the State Emergency Service emphasized.
