On Saturday, after a private farewell attended by Iran's leadership and foreign delegations, the coffins with the bodies of Khamenei and four members of his family were put on public display until July 6.

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump, who watched the ceremony online, noted that he was surprised to see some Iranians crying at the funeral and said he thought people hated Khamenei.
"Maybe these are fake tears," Trump suggested.
