In Pabradė, Lithuania, the six-day operation to recover the armored vehicle of the missing American soldiers from the swamp has been completed, the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense announced on Monday, writes UNN.

After six days of relentless effort in Pabradė, the armored vehicle was finally pulled from the swamp last night. Following the completion of the armored vehicle recovery operation from the swamp, Lithuanian military police and American investigators continue to work at the scene. We will remain patient and focused as they gather more information about the situation.

According to Lithuanian Minister of National Defense Dovilė Šakalienė, the attachment point for the second cable was found on Sunday at approximately 10:00 PM local time, it was secured after 11:00 PM, and the recovery operation began at approximately 2:45 AM. The work was completed by 4:30 AM.

"Two M88 vehicles and two additional bulldozers were involved for stabilization, as the available equipment proved insufficient. Currently, American investigators and Lithuanian military police are working at the scene. We cannot provide more information about the current situation," said Dovilė Šakalienė, quoted by LRT.

The minister added that there is no information yet about the missing servicemen, but according to the existing agreement, US representatives will be the first to report it.

"Everyone felt a huge relief - the most difficult stage of the operation has been passed. This was the first and most difficult part," added Šakalienė.

During the search, an M88 Hercules armored vehicle, which US servicemen had previously used, was found submerged in a body of water.
