How many pensioners are there in Ukraine and what are the payments - data from the PFU at the beginning of April 2026

The distribution by type of assigned pensions is as follows:

• 72.50% - by age;
• 14.86% - by disability;
• 7.04% - in case of loss of a breadwinner;
• 5.05% - for length of service;
• 0.51% - social pensions;
• 0.04% - lifetime maintenance of judges.

The distribution by size of assigned pensions is as follows:

• As of April 1, 2026, 3.43% of pensioners received pensions up to 3,000 hryvnias, whereas a year ago this figure was 3.86%;
• From 3,001 to 4,000 hryvnias, as of early April 2026, 24.23% of pensioners received this amount - a year ago this figure was 32.33%;
• From 4,001 to 5,000 hryvnias, as of April 1, 2026, 17.33% of pensioners received this amount - a year ago this figure was 20.38%;
• From 5,001 to 10,000 hryvnias, as of April 1, 2026, 36.46% of pensioners received this amount - a year ago this figure was 28.92%;
• Over 10,000 hryvnias, as of April 1, 2026, 18.55% received this amount - a year ago this figure was 14.51%.
