Heavy snowfall, ice and strong winds are predicted in various regions of Ukraine, and authorities are warning of travel risks and urging residents to be cautious.

Ukrainians have been warned of deteriorating weather conditions - heavy snowfall and ice are forecast, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported on Thursday, UNN reports.

Heavy snowfall is reportedly expected on November 26-27 in Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Odesa regions and the capital, with heavy sleet and rain in Sumy, Poltava, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv regions, and ice in some places. The snow cover will increase by 20-30 cm, in some places 40-50 cm; blizzards, snow drifts, and ice cover are expected.

In Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovs'k, Kherson, Zaporizhzhya regions and Crimea there will be significant rains.

In the northern, central, southern regions and Crimea, winds will increase to 17-22 m/s, in some places up to 25 m/s, in Odesa and Mykolaiv regions 25-30 m/s; in the western and eastern regions wind gusts of 15-20 m/s. On the Black Sea, winds are expected to increase to 25-30 m/s; wave height 20-30 dm, during the day on November 26 and at night on November 27, wave height 30-50 dm.

"We urge you to be careful these days and follow safety rules! It is better not to plan long trips at this time," the SES emphasized.
