It is noted that due to weather conditions, authorities were forced to cancel dozens of parades, concerts, and fireworks.
Among the events disrupted by the exhausting heat was the Great American States Fair on the National Mall in Washington, the central event planned by President Donald Trump as part of the celebration of the country's 250th anniversary
It is indicated that the fair was closed as the temperature reached 38 degrees Celsius. Also, the organizers of the Independence Day parade of the National Park Service in Washington announced the cancellation of the annual event for safety reasons.
Holiday events were also canceled due to the heat in major cities such as Philadelphia and Boston.
