HCJ allows arrest of all four suspected judges of Kyiv Court of Appeal

The High Council of Justice has authorized the detention of judge Yuriy Slyva, suspected of bribery. All HCJ members voted in favor of this decision, as well as for the submissions regarding three other judges.

The High Council of Justice has agreed to keep in custody judge of the Kyiv Court of Appeal Yuriy Slyva, who is suspected of taking a bribe, reports UNN .

Details

At the meeting, the HCJ upheld the motion of Deputy Prosecutor General - Head of the SAPO Oleksandr Klymenko to grant consent to apply a preventive measure in the form of detention to Slyva.   

All 15 members of the HCJ voted in favor.

Prior to this, the HCJ authorized the arrest of Kyiv Court of Appeal judges Vyacheslav Dziubin, Ihor Palenyk, and Viktor Hlynianyi.  

Thus, the HCJ considered the petitions against the four suspected judges.

Addendum

Four judges of the Kyiv Court of Appeal, who were exposed for taking bribes to lift the seizure of property from a private company, were notified of suspicion.

As UNN has learned from its own sources, these are Yuriy Slyva, Viktor Hlynianyi, Ihor Palenyk and Viacheslav Dziubin.
