Ukraine harvests 79.2 million tons of new crop
Ukraine has harvested 79.2 million tons of new crops during the current harvesting campaign, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy reported on Friday, UNN reports.
As of the end of December, 86% of Ukraine's corn area was harvested. This is the only crop that is still being harvested. The total harvest of the new crop is 79 mln 200 thsd tonnes. Grain harvest amounted to 58 million 392 thousand tons, oilseeds - 20 million 764 thousand tons
Grain and leguminous crops were harvested on an area of 10,542 thousand hectares with a yield of 55.4 c/ha, including:
- corn harvested: 28 million 148 thousand tons;
- wheat - 22 million 478 thousand tons;
- barley harvested: 5 million 909 thousand tons;
- peas - 399.5 thousand tons;
- Buckwheat harvested: 207.5 thousand tons;
- millet harvested - 180.2 thousand tons;
- other grains and pulses - 1,070 thousand tons.
As indicated, oilseeds were harvested on an area of 8,224 thousand hectares, in particular:
- sunflower was harvested 11 mln 980 thsd tonnes of seeds with a yield of 23.9 c/ha;
- soybean harvested 4 mln 779 thsd tonnes with a yield of 26.5 c/ha.
- rapeseed harvested 4 mln 5 thsd tonnes with a yield of 28.7 c/ha. Harvesting is completed in all regions.
The company harvested 11 million 879.5 thousand tons of sugar beet roots with a yield of 477 c/ha.
