Germany to donate EUR 24 million to restore Ukraine's energy infrastructure

Germany provided Ukraine with a €24 million loan and a €0.5 million grant to rebuild energy infrastructure damaged by Russian attacks.

Ukrenergo and the German state development bank KfW have signed a loan agreement for 24 million euros to finance the restoration of energy infrastructure damaged by Russian attacks. This was reported by the German Embassy in Ukraine, UNN reports.

"Germany continues to support the restoration and resilience of energy infrastructure in the regions affected by Russian attacks," the statement said.

It is noted that the day before, Ukrenergo and the German state development bank KfW signed a loan agreement for EUR 24 million and a grant agreement for EUR 0.5 million to finance the project.
