Germany closes consulates in two Russian cities at once

Germany has closed its consulates in novosibirsk and yekaterinburg, immediately after the closure of the representative office in kaliningrad, transferring the affairs to the embassy in moscow and the Consulate General in St. Petersburg.

The day before it became known that Germany had closed its consulate in the russian city of kaliningrad. The ministry stated that the Consulate General in St. Petersburg is responsible for consular and passport issues in the district of the Consulate General in kaliningrad.

Germany was forced to close some of its consulates in russia after Berlin reduced the number of its civil servants in Russia to 350 people at the request of the Russians.
