The regulator confirmed that gas tariffs for households will remain unchanged, despite the new tariffs for GTSOU. The moratorium on tariff increases for households will remain in effect until 2022.

No changes to gas tariffs for households are expected, the National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission said on Tuesday, UNN reports.

"The current gas tariff for households remains unchanged. The NEURC's decision to approve new tariffs for gas transportation will not affect household consumers," the NEURC said.

On December 30, 2024, the NEURC reportedly approved new tariffs for natural gas transportation services for the Ukrainian Gas TSO (GTSOU), calculated for entry and exit points for the regulatory period of 2025-2029.

"These tariffs take into account the termination of Russian gas transit through the territory of Ukraine, which is planned for January 1, 2025," the regulator said.

As Yuriy Vlasenko, Chairman of the NEURC, noted during the consideration of this issue at the Commission's meeting: "Tariffs for gas and heat for household consumers in case of adoption of the tariff of the Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine will not change, they are fixed for the entire heating season."

"The cost of gas distribution also remains unchanged," the NEURC emphasized.

The moratorium on raising gas and heating tariffs for households, which has been in effect since 2022, reportedly remains in effect. "Accordingly, the cost of hot water and heating will not change," the regulator emphasized.

"The NEURC appeals to the media to be attentive to the dissemination of information on tariffs and to avoid speculation on this socially sensitive topic. These changes are aimed solely at ensuring the stability of Ukraine's gas transportation system in the new environment. There will be no changes for household consumers," the NEURC said.
