An explosion occurred at the BAE Systems plant, which manufactures artillery shells and weapons, with no casualties, but law enforcement has already launched an investigation.

An explosion occurred in Wales at the plant of the largest British arms manufacturer BAE Systems, which specializes in artillery and ammunition. This was reported by The Telegraphand by UNN.

The incident occurred in the Monmouthshire county in the village of Glasscoad. According to official information, the explosion in one of the plant's premises was detected at 10:49 a.m. UK time. There were no casualties or injuries, but police quickly cordoned off the area and emergency protocols were put in place at the plant.

A joint investigation has been launched with the South Wales Fire and Rescue Service into the cause of the explosion.

The cause of the explosion is still unknown. The Health and Safety Administration was called to the site. Meanwhile, BAE Systems said there was no risk to the local population.
