Ursula von der Leyen plans to sign a large-scale trade agreement between the EU and MERCOSUR in Montevideo. The agreement will create a market of 700 million consumers, although France and Poland oppose it.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen is expected to sign a free trade agreement with Latin American countries during the Mercosur summit in Montevideo.
