On the territory of the Lavra, according to the Ministry of Culture, "19 cultural heritage sites were damaged." "The Assumption Cathedral and the Kushnyk Tower suffered the most destruction," the statement reads.
The progress of work to eliminate the consequences of the attack and protect the shrine, as noted, was inspected by the First Deputy Minister of Culture of Ukraine, Ivan Verbytskyi. He emphasized that "one of the key tasks remains to protect the cathedral from further exposure to weather conditions and preserve its unique historical and artistic decoration."
"We count on continued support from international partners and patrons in the process of restoring monuments damaged as a result of Russian aggression," Verbytskyi noted.

As reported, a commission has already begun work to inspect the roof structure of the Assumption Cathedral, with the participation of specialists from the Lviv Polytechnic National University. "Based on the results of its work, a defect report and an estimate for the installation of a conservation covering will be prepared," the statement said.

At the same time, the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, as noted, "is gradually restoring access for visitors." "The Church of the Savior at Berestove has already been opened, as well as the Near Caves, the Great Lavra Bell Tower, the Refectory Church, and part of the museum exhibitions. Group tours have resumed by prior appointment," the ministry reported.
"Despite the strikes by the Russian Federation, we are restoring our work and doing everything to worthily celebrate the 975th anniversary of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra. The restoration work does not stop for a single day, because the issue of cultural heritage and the preservation of our shrines is part of the cognitive war that Russia is waging against Ukraine," said Maksym Ostapenko, Director General of the National Kyiv Pechersk Lavra Historical and Cultural Preserve.
"In the Near Caves, a traditional prayer service with an akathist was also held at the relics of Saint Agapit of the Caves, which became another testament to the gradual return of the Lavra to normal life despite the consequences of the Russian attack," the Ministry of Culture noted.
