Emergency power outages and suspension of electric transport in Odesa region
Kyiv • UNN
Due to attacks by Russian drones that damaged substations in Odesa region, emergency power outages and suspension of electric transport are being implemented to prevent further overloading of equipment.
Due to damage to equipment in Odesa and Odesa region, power companies are forced to apply emergency power outages and extend the period of consumption restrictions. This is stated in the message of Ukrenergo and DTEK, according to UNN.
"The enemy continues to target our energy infrastructure. At night, Russian UAVs attacked two substations in the southern region.
Due to the damage to equipment in Odesa and Odesa region, power companies are forced to extend the periods of consumption restrictions. This is necessary to protect the surviving equipment from overloading, which can cause additional technological damage," Ukrenergo said on the morning of March 25.
They added that more information about changes in the blackout schedules can be found on the official pages of the local regional power company. However, DTEK Odesa Power Grids reports that the schedules are currently not in effect, as power companies are forced to apply emergency blackouts in Odesa and Odesa district of the region.
"Power engineers have already managed to restore power supply to critical infrastructure facilities.
However, the situation remains difficult. Emergency blackouts are in place in Odesa and Odesa district.
In order to reduce the load on the grid, electric transport will not operate in city today, and industrial consumption is also limited.
We are doing everything we can to bring electricity back to homes as soon as possible. We urge you to consume electricity wisely," DTEK said.
