The Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak, together with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi and the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces Anatoliy Bargylevych, met with representatives of the Defense Partners project and discussed strengthening support for Ukrainian defenders. This was reported by the press service of the President's Office, according to UNN.
Details
Among the participants of the meeting were deputy heads of the Presidential Office, government officials, MPs, and entrepreneurs.
The Presidential Office explained that "Defense Partners" is a project in which the state involves representatives of public authorities and business to join forces to help soldiers.
His idea is that each unit of the Defense Forces should be assigned individual representatives of the government and business to help meet all the urgent needs.
I want to thank everyone who joined President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's idea and is already helping. Of course, the state has always been the flagship on this path. It is its direct function to ensure the defense of its territory. But where the bureaucratic machine cannot keep up with the flexibility of a smart, talented businessman and a skillful manager from the state, you have become its assistant
It is noted that this project allows the relevant agencies to work on the implementation of the most complex and large-scale projects. Instead, participants in the Defense Partners initiative, who are in constant contact with brigade commanders, help meet their urgent needs (ammunition, drones, computer equipment, communications equipment, rehabilitation of the military).
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi also noted the role of this project in strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities amid the growing scale of Russian aggression.
At a time when the enemy is planning to expand its aggression and increase the number of troops, we need this help. We will be very happy if you continue to help our brigades - both those that are being formed and those that are already performing tasks
The meeting participants discussed ways to scale the project to involve as many government and business representatives as possible in helping the Defense Forces. After all, they summarized, the quantity and quality of efforts will determine how quickly Ukraine will be able to win.
