Kyiv's Pechersk District Court upheld Dubinsky's preventive measure, despite claims of beatings and deteriorating health.

Today, the Pechersk District Courtof Kyiv left unchanged the measure of restraint in the form of detention for MP Oleksandr Dubinsky. This is reported by Suspilne, according to UNN

Details

As noted, Dubinsky's lawyer requested that the measure of restraint be changed from detention to house arrest. He argued that Dubinsky was allegedly beaten in the pre-trial detention center, which resulted in bodily injuries and, as a result, deterioration of his health.

The MP's lawyer provided the court with the results of Dubinsky's medical examination. According to him, the results of the examination showed a fracture of two ribs and a bruised chest.

In his turn, Dubinsky said that his beating was related to his criticism of the Ukrainian authorities.

Recall

On December 7, a court in Kyiv remanded MP Oleksandr Dubinsky in custody until January 12, 2024, without the right to bail.

Before the hearing, he stated that he had broken the 10th and 11th ribs on his left side.

Earlier, UNN reported that the MP had allegedly beaten in the pre-trial detention center. At the same time, the Kyiv police and the Kyiv pre-trial detention center did not confirm the fact of the beating after an inspection.
