The High Anti-Corruption Court has remanded in custody with the possibility of bail in excess of UAH 40 million an MP who is a suspect in the case of attempted bribery of top officials in the field of recovery. This was reported by UNN with reference to the SAPO.
Earlier, MP from the For the Future group, Serhiy Labaziuk, was notified of suspicion of bribing the Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction of Ukraine - Minister of Community, Territorial and Infrastructure Development and Head of the State Agency for Reconstruction and Development of Infrastructure of Ukraine.
On November 28, 2023, the HACC investigating judge reportedly upheld the position of the SAPO prosecutor and imposed a preventive measure on the MP who was caught giving an undue benefit to the Vice Prime Minister for Reconstruction of Ukraine - Minister of Community, Territorial and Infrastructure Development and Head of the State Agency for Reconstruction.
The court partially granted the motion of the NABU detectives, approved by the Acting Prosecutor General, and imposed a preventive measure in the form of detention on the suspect with an alternative of UAH 40.260 million bail and imposing procedural obligations in case of bail. The term of detention is 2 months,
The court ruled to take the suspect into custody in the courtroom, the prosecutor's office said.
