Corruption in Kyiv Court of Appeal: Prosecutor insists on arrest of Judge Ihor Palenyk

Today, the High Anti-Corruption Court started considering a motion to impose a preventive measure on Palenyk. The prosecutor insists that the suspect be arrested with bail in excess of UAH 6.9 million.

The prosecutor insists on applying a preventive measure in the form of detention with the possibility of bail in the amount of more than UAH 6.9 million to Kyiv Court of Appeal judge Ihor Palenyk, who is suspected of taking a bribe, UNN correspondent reports.

I ask to apply to the suspect Igor Palenik a preventive measure in the form of detention for 60 days with the possibility of bail in the amount of 6 million 999 thousand 872 UAH 

- said the prosecutor during the meeting.

Thus, today the High Anti-Corruption Court began consideration of the motion to impose a preventive measure on Palenyk.

Addendum

The HCJ allowed the arrest of all four suspected judges of the Kyiv Court of Appeal, namely Vyacheslav Dziubin, Ihor Palenyk, Viktor Hlynianyi and Yuriy Slyva.

Four judges of the Kyiv Court of Appeal, who were caught taking bribes to lift the seizure of property from a private company, were notified of suspicion.

These are Slyva, Hlynianyi, Palenyk and Dziubin.
