Kyiv • UNN
Today, Ukraine experienced colored rains with dust from the Sahara, but the State Emergency Service assured that there is no threat and the air will be cleared on April 27.
Colored rains with dust have been falling in Ukraine today. However, the State Emergency Service urges Ukrainians not to be afraid - there is no threat, UNN reports.
According to the State Emergency Service, the dust from the Sahara, which was observed in Greece the day before, has reached Ukraine.
According to the Ukrhydrometeorological Center, the natural phenomenon is observed over the southern and central regions of Ukraine and is spreading to the north.
Prolonged precipitation washes dust out of the atmosphere, resulting in weather stations recording colored (yellow) rain that poses no threat
In addition, according to the State Emergency Service, the air in Ukraine will be cleaned up as early as April 27.
"On April 25-26, dust will remain in the atmosphere over Ukraine. On April 27, the air flows will change, and the air will be cleared after the rains," the SES summarized.
