According to the publication, on Sunday, China's Ministry of National Defense announced that China and Russia will hold naval exercises in the waters and airspace near Qingdao in July, followed by a joint maritime patrol in the Pacific Ocean.
The "Joint Sea 2026" exercises are part of the annual cooperation plan between the countries' militaries to address security challenges and maintain regional peace and stability, the Chinese ministry stated. It did not provide details on the timing of the exercises or the forces involved.
