The head of state thanked Canada for the new support package worth 900 million dollars at such a difficult time, when Ukraine is in great need of strengthening its air defense, reports UNN with reference to the Presidential Office.

"Thank you for supporting the PURL program. Right now, our biggest deficit is probably air defense, and we received a large package from Canada. We are very grateful for this," the President emphasized.

"This is medium-term assistance. By medium-term, I mean the next few months. This assistance will cover the supply of military equipment, ammunition, and other support in addition to this vital air defense assistance," Mark Carney noted.

The Prime Minister emphasized that Canada will continue to strengthen Ukraine's air defense and will contribute to the PURL program. He condemned Russian strikes on Ukraine, which resulted in the deaths of civilians. The leaders discussed steps that could further help strengthen Ukraine's air defense.
