NATO will not be directly involved in the conflict, but will continue to support Ukraine with air defense systems and ammunition.
NATO's policy remains unchanged - the Alliance will not become part of the conflict, NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg said in an interview for a single telethon, answering a question about Poland's ability to shoot down enemy missiles over Ukraine, UNN reports .
"We will not become part of the conflict. We support Ukraine in destroying Russian aircraft, but NATO will not be directly involved," Jens Stoltenberg emphasized.
At the same time, he reiterated the Alliance's support for Ukraine.
"NATO will support Ukraine, and we have now increased our support, including through various air defense systems. Of course, the F-16 is also important in this context. We will also provide more ground-based air defense systems and ammunition for those that are available," Stoltenberg said.
