"We will be completely happy when Ukraine becomes a NATO member. And the promise of this will be realized. We have seen very encouraging signals at all levels over the last two days that the path to membership is irreversible, that Ukraine will be in NATO. But we cannot wait another 75 years to celebrate Ukraine's accession. It has to happen sooner, not later. Because this is the only way to ensure strategic security and stability in the Euro-Atlantic region," he said in an interview with CNN.
Kuleba noted that at the NATO summit, Ukraine heard promises of additional military assistance, including an air defense system, as well as a decision on Kyiv's "irreversible path" to NATO.
According to the minister, it is important for Ukraine to provide the army with enough weapons to enable them to hold their positions.
