Pashinyan stated that Armenia is not Russia's ally on the issue of Ukraine. Yerevan provides humanitarian aid to Kyiv and has hosted Volodymyr Zelenskyy for a visit.

Yerevan is not Russia's ally "on the issue of Ukraine." This was stated by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a government briefing, UNN reports with reference to Armenpress.

He recalled that he had already made a statement regarding President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy's visit to Yerevan and the criticism voiced in this regard.
"We have sent humanitarian aid to Ukraine, and I have said that we are not Russia's allies on the issue of Ukraine,"
He also noted that the Alma-Ata Declaration is of fundamental importance for Armenia, based on which Yerevan is building a peace process with Azerbaijan.
"You know how important and fundamental the Alma-Ata Declaration is for us, and we rely on this declaration and build peace with Azerbaijan on this basis. And this is our principled position," the head of the Armenian government emphasized.
Context
Earlier this week, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy took part in the European Political Community summit in Yerevan.
Zelenskyy's visit to the Armenian capital caused a wave of emotional and sometimes aggressive reactions in the Russian information space.
And the day before, the Russian Foreign Ministry summoned the Armenian ambassador to express indignation over the visit of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and providing him with a platform "to voice terrorist threats against Russia."
