A 40-year-old woman from Boston, Massachusetts, was paddleboarding near a resort in western New Providence with a relative on Monday morning when she was attacked by a shark. Emergency personnel on the shore performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation, but were unable to save her.
The victim received cardiopulmonary resuscitation. However, she sustained serious injuries to the right side of her body, including her right thigh and upper right limb,
The woman died on the spot.
